 Home team is the team on the top of the bracket regardless of your seeding.

Host programs will play their games at their sites

CCJBC Tournament Rules

 

  • All games are 7-minute quarters. Each team receives 3 full timeouts and 2 30-second timeouts.

 

  • Games CANNOT start before the assigned start time.

 

  • Minimum 5-minute warm up period each game.

 

  • Halftime is 3 minutes long.

 

  • Overtime periods are 3 minutes long. Teams are granted one additional time out. There is no maximum number of overtime periods.

 

 

  • 5 size basketballs are used for all girls games and for 6th boys. 29.5 for 7th and 8th boys.

 

  • One and one bonus shots begin on the 6th foul, and the double bonus starts with the 8th. Fouls reset each quarter.

 

  • Overtime periods are 3 minutes long. Teams are granted one additional time out. There is no maximum number of overtime periods.

 

  • The CCJBC mercy rule begins at a 30-point differential. The clock will run nonstop except for official time outs.  There is no backcourt pressure allowed. Regular game play resumes if the differential drops to below 20 points.

 

  • Teams *must* have a printed scoresheet. Failure to do so will result in an administrative technical foul. An adjustment to a player’s number due to a uniform issue is allowed and will not result in a technical foul.

 

  • Only coaches may bring basketballs into the gym.  Non-players are not to be on the court between games or during halftime.

 

  • The CCJBC Dress Code applies to all coaches on the bench.

 

  • Coaches are expected to dress in a respectful manner which sets an example for their players and other game participants and fans.
  • Shirts: No T–shirts of any kind are allowed even with program logos – polo type collared shirts with program logos are preferred.
  • Pants: No pants with holes of any kind are allowed – khaki style long dress type pants are preferred – Shorts are allowed but must be Bermuda type dress shorts – no gym shorts, blue jean shorts, cargo shorts, cut off shorts, shorts with holes, etc. are allowed. Nice warm up style pants are allowed.
  • Jackets: No hoodies are allowed. The ¼ zip style jackets / shirts with collar and program logo are preferred.
  • Shoes: No open toed shoes are allowed – croc style shoes are not allowed – Athletic shoes or dress type shoes are preferred
  • Hats: No hats of any kind are allowed including skull caps, etc.

 

  • CCJBC follows GHSA rules unless specifically noted elsewhere.
